“Haka” a Ancestral War Cry Recently Performed as Farewell to Fallen Comrades

New Zealand Infantry FuneralA “Haka” is an ancestral war cry originally performed by Maori warriors before going to battle.

In a moving tribute, over 200 New Zealand soldiers from the 2nd and 1st Battalion of the Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment honored three of their fallen comrades with a heartbreaking Haka ceremony performed at their funeral in Christchurch.
