Posted on April 20, 2015

FBI LogoTENNESSEE – A Tennessee teen was arrested last week for threatening to bomb three high schools in Whitman and Brockton, Massachusetts, officials said.

“The FBI takes threats of violence to schools very seriously. Make no mistake: we investigate these incidents, and those found responsible are subject to arrest and full prosecution no matter where they are located.” said Vincent B. Lisi, special agent in charge of the FBI’s Boston Division.

The teen who lives in South Nashville was arrested on a state terrorism charge.  He will be prosecuted in federal court, according to authorities.

The teen’s name was not released by officials, officials said.
