31-Year-Old Child Pornographer Sentenced to 65 Years in Federal Prison

Posted on May 11, 2015

Project Child SaveORLANDO, FL—U.S. District Judge Roy B. Dalton on Monday sentenced David Jacob William Guite, 31, of  DeLand, Florida, to 65 years in federal prison for producing and distributing child pornography.

Guite pleaded guilty on February 20, 2015.

This is what the evidence indicated:

  • An FBI task force officer, acting in an undercover capacity, posted an advertisement on a website frequented by individuals who have a sexual interest in children and incest.
  • Guite responded to the ad and, during the ensuing conversation, sent the agent sexually explicit images of a young boy.
  • On October 29, 2014, FBI agents executed a federal search warrant at Guite’s residence.
  • He admitted to manufacturing, possessing, and distributing sexually explicit images of minor children.
  • A search and subsequent analyses of Guite’s smart phone and computer revealed hundreds of sexually explicit images and videos of young children.

This  case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
