INDIANA
A federal judge sentenced a 32-year-old man to 240 years in prison for producing sexually explicit images and videos of three females and distributing the child pornography, officials said.
Daniel T. Eckstrom, of Lake Station, Indiana, was convicted for production, distribution and possession of child porn, officials said.
As a result of an investigation, more than 600 depictions of one victim have been found in seven investigations in six different states and over 10,000 depictions of another have been found in 77 investigations in 29 different states, officials stated.
He made three minor female victims under the age of 12 to perform sexually explicit acts, officials stated. He had thousands of images and hundreds of videos of the victims. One victim was sexually abused by Eckstom over a 5-year period, according to authorities.
The court found that Eckstrom used force to cause her to engage in sexual acts and also used threats of violence.
The judge concluded that Eckstrom was a repeat and dangerous sex offender and sentenced him to consecutive terms of 30 years on each of the seven production of child porn charges, officials said.
Eckstrom received a 20 year sentence for his distribution of child pornography charge and another 10 years for possession of child pornography, both consecutive to each other and consecutive to the production charges.
