The feds have been busy shutting down many tax preparers throughout the nation who are concocting bogus losses and deductions including medical expenses, education credits, charitable contributions and other unauthorized expenses.
One of the latest tax preparers to be permanently barred is Andrew R. Heath, an Acworth, Ga., area tax preparer who operated Excellent Tax Service, according to the U.S. Justice Department.
The government’s complaint in the injunction suit was brought against Heath and his brother, Larry J. Heath, who previously agreed to a civil injunction order, authorities said.

In the past decade, the Tax Division of the Justice Department has obtained injunctions against hundreds of unscrupulous tax preparers.
