“Don’t Tread on Me” Crowd Busted
The Patriot Games are over and Twiddly Dee and Tweedly Dum along with other “patriots” are in jail and some will probably end up with long prison sentences.
Cliven and his son Ammon Bunday along with the “Don’t Tread on Me” Army decided to keep poking and messing with the “Don’t F**k With Us” Army that shells out billions of dollars to buy aircraft carriers, submarines, jets and tanks. They also have Seal Team VI and other Special Ops forces at their beck and call.
What’s next for these domestic terrorists besides prison time.
The feds will also end up freezing bank accounts and seizing property including pickup trucks, arsenals, houses and in the Bunday case, probably government-fed cattle.
Federal prosecutors are merciless in getting court orders after a conviction to seize property, cash, boats, planes and other things of value from convicted criminals.
In this case, the Bundays and their followers will probably be forced to reimburse taxpayers for damages and expenses accrued by law enforcement at Cliven Bunday’s place in Nevada and most recently, Ammon Bunday’s & Co.’s Alamo-like stance in Oregon.
Cliven Bunday’s welfare cattle will end up in freezers with a portion of the USDA choice cuts going to federal coffers.
When the Bundays leave jail, they will be flat broke and still paying legal fees for the countless days in federal courtrooms that lay ahead.
BTW: Does anyone really believe that if the Black Panthers took over the city of Ferguson’s public library to protest police brutality, there would be negotiations?
The FBI and U.S. Marshals wouldn’t be called to surround the place and negotiate with armed Black Panthers.
Not in that scenario
The feds would get the call to come to Ferguson from the locals after the black bodies were pulled out of the rubble, dragged out of the library, firefighters made sure the fire was completely extinguished and political scripts were polished and written.
Prosecutor Misconduct
The Huffington Post had a good story this week titled, “Prosecutors Are Almost Never Disciplined For Misconduct — Sometimes the prosecutor needs to be prosecuted.”
“It’s almost unheard of,” U.S. Circuit Judge Alex Kozinski told The Huffington Post. Kozinski is a leading voice on prosecutorial misconduct, who famously wrote in a 2013 opinion that the problem had “epidemic” levels in the U.S.
The Huffington Post story stated: “Prosecutors are rarely punished for misconduct, and the cases that have led to disbarment or even criminal charges are few and far between. When prosecutors do face severe consequences for breaking the law, it’s when their behavior is deemed to be deliberate and seemingly indefensible. At the same time, their punishment may not be proportional to the damage they have inflicted upon innocent people, which illustrates the considerable latitude the legal process affords to prosecutors.”
In covering state and federal courts I’ve seen some off-the-charts misconduct by some prosecutors who were more interested racking up courtroom victories than making sure justice was done.
In addition, the District Attorney is elected to office and some DAs can’t see beyond their next election so they have to take the “I am tough on crime” political song and dance to appease voters.
Want to gauge the judgment of prosecutors in this country?
It’s really quite simple.
One only has to ask how many people were fatally shot by cops in this country in the past five years and how many state prosecutors indicted a cop for murder?
Last year and the year before that, aside from the feds, the number of police officers charged with murder or for that matter voluntary manslaughter can be counted with one hand.
I could be wrong and that prosecution number could probably be counted on one hand but with some help from the other.
So why should anybody be surprised if prosecutors lie to defense attorneys and the courts or hide stuff from criminal defendants and their lawyers.
DA’s offices seem to believe that almost all police officer fatal shootings are justified. That is until some people capture a few on cell phone cameras.
Quite frankly, many cops believe it’s open-season at certain neighborhoods, and they can get their hunting licenses at the District Attorneys’ Offices who will put their Good Seal of Approval on police fatal shootings even before the body is cold.
The burdensome dead-guy paperwork and manufactured scripts come later.
The close partnership DAs have with cops is suspect and unhealthy to say the least, and this needs to change with an independent body from the federal government investigating prosecutors where the misconduct was egregious.
Also all the dishonest and unprofessional lawyers posing as prosecutors would get a wake up call if a lot of these people working for the District Attorney’s Offices would land in jail and get disbarred.
Mountain lion Attacks Man Who Breaks the Animal’s Neck with His Bare Hands.
That’s what KSBY TV reported Sunday and a reporter interviewed the “victim,” Robin Olson of San Luis Obispo, California. Olson claimed he was attacked by a mountain lion last Saturday while hiking in Prefumo Canyon.
Robin Olson told KSBY that he was hiking with his son at around 5:30 p.m. They wandered off the trail and came in contact with a mountain lion, KSBY reported.
Olson told his son to run away, he told KSBY. Olson tried to avoid the mountain lion, but the animal lunged at him and started attacking. KSBY reported that the former wrestler grabbed the mountain lion’s neck. He held onto the cat’s neck as it was scratching him, Olson said.
During the struggle, Olson broke the mountain lion’s neck, killing it instantly. He left with numerous scratches on his body, KSBY reported.
Olson told KSBY that he regrets what happened and that he loves animals. He said he just happened to be in the mountain lion’s space by accident. His experience should be a lesson to other hikers to stay on the trails, he said.
Hold on.
Officials with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife interviewed Olson on Monday and say he admitted the story was fabricated.
The TV station apologized profusely
“KSBY News staffers attempted, but failed, to independently confirm his claims prior to the broadcast of this story. We sincerely apologize to our viewers and will work hard to make sure additional protocols are in place to make sure this kind of error does not happen again,” KSBY stated.
Next time, Google the National Geographic website . There KSBY will find information about the power and speed of these magnificent animals. They rarely attack humans but an attack is usually fatal and the damage they leave on those who survive is incredible.
Interviewing a moron who claims to have been attacked by a mountain lion and killed it by breaking the animal’s neck raises a myriad of red flags. It is also laughable.
In a fight with a mountain lion, a person will get more than “scratches” and it is very unlikely that a human can grab the lion’s neck with his hands.
The TV station’s editor should have held the story until experts were interviewed, and the story verified with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife .
Hopefully, somebody doesn’t call the Drama Queens at this station and tells them that he knocked out Big Foot after the creature attacked him.
This is what happens when sensationalism and drama and the rush to land “Breaking News” is packaged as a news story without checking the facts and asking tough questions to those who make incredible claims.
