SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (KSAZ) – A Salt River Police Department officer has been arrested on sexual abuse and kidnapping charges.
Scottsdale police say Officer Jay Hun Wu was arrested on Thursday afternoon for allegedly sexually abusing and kidnapping a woman while she was in his custody in March.
Investigators say the 45-year-old officer was giving the woman a ride home on March 29, when he passed her Scottsdale home and refused to let her out of his patrol car.

Officer Wu pulled over at a different neighborhood and told the woman to get out of his patrol car. He then told the woman he needed to pat her down and while doing so, he sexually abused her underneath her clothing.
The officer gave the woman his business card and told her to call him if she needed anything.
The victim immediately reported the incident to Scottsdale police and Officer Wu was arrested on Thursday during a traffic stop.
Officer Wu has been charged with four counts of kidnapping, sexual abuse, unlawful sexual conduct of a police officer, assault and tampering with physical evidence.
