When the Miami-Dade Police officer asked her for license and registration, she handed him wads of cash.
“Ma’am, that’s money,” he told her.
“I know,” she said with an exasperated sigh. She handed him a pile of bills with her ID on top. “You want to check my registration? I’m going home.”
Body cam footage first posted by radio personality Andy Slater shows the June 19 traffic stop that quickly turned into an arrest on charges of bribery and marijuana possession for Margaret Garcia, 26, records show. She got a speeding ticket too.
After handcuffing her, the officer tells the woman she’s being arrested because “you reek of alcohol” — “I don’t care” she interjects — “you’ve got an open container of alcohol on your passenger side.”
After a female officer pats down the cuffed woman, she tugs the woman’s dress up to cover her bra.
The male officer speaks to an officer next to him, “I don’t even know, bro. I’ve never come across that much spilled weed. It was just everywhere.”
“That’s personal use. What,” She yells. “I smoke weed. What. What. I don’t give a f—.”
Next up is the police station, where the officer announces she has $2,000 in cash on her. She demands he count it out.
The last thing the officer said before the video cuts: “I’ve never been so glad for these cameras in my life.”
