DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A man was shot several times by police officers after officials say he became ‘belligerent’ Saturday night.

Authorities say the 53-year-old man crashed his motorcycle around 6:30 on E. Third St near Philadelphia St. When officers called for medics they say the man pulled out a firearm and became aggressive.

Dayton Police say two officers fired five shots at the man, striking him once in the arm. The bullet that hit the man’s arm traveled to his torso. He was taken to Miami Valley Hospital where officials say he is in stable condition.
