TRUMP SIGNS
The Con-Man-in-Chief isn’t beyond negotiating side deals with foreign leaders while in the White House — sweet business deals in exchange for America’s interests and resources. Trump is more interested in hanging his Trump signs buildings throughout the world for a fat fee than getting daily intelligence briefings, which he is skipping.
But what this buffoon and others don’t seem to realize that the Trump signs will look like Target store signs to many once the buffoon turned Republican president-elect starts to make disastrous and sporatic foreign policy decisions that get people killed.
Terrorists or armies of angry protestors will be attracted to these “Trump” buildings throughout the world as rallying points. The Trump signs will come to symbolize greed, incompetence and failed foreign policies. These buildings and structures will become surrogate American embassies.
Those who stay or work in these buildings will soon realize that they aren’t safe.
The Trump signs will start coming down, one by one, once businesses start losing millions of dollars.
Unfortunately, Trump and his ego will react to these protests and attacks and make matters worse with harsh or uncouth words via tweets or by responding with military force or threats.
Trump is more interested in protecting his investments rather than the nation’s security. He has indicated that he will allow his sons to operate his real estate business. But he intends to keep a stake in the business, according to the New York Times.
Trump Inc. Computers
I wouldn’t be surprised if the Russians hacked into Trump’s personal or business computers many months ago and found very incriminating evidence concerning his private life, dealings with businesses and banks and perhaps, criminal activity and coverups.
Putin has probably signaled to Trump that he would leak this information and cause big problems for Trump. Putin is not beyond using this to blackmail Trump who already appears to dismiss the CIA’s findings about Russia sabotaging the election.
Congressional Investigation on Trump’s Pal
A growing number of Republican and Democratic senators want to launch investigations into Russian involvement in the U.S. election process.
“I think we need to get to the bottom of it,” Republican Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky said in a Sunday morning interview with ABC’s “This Week. “And I think there should be an investigation because in order to defend ourselves against other adversarial countries, we have to protect our information.”
The CIA concluded in a secret assessment that Russia interfered in the U.S. election not merely to mess around with the democratic system but to more specifically help Donald Trump win the presidency, according to a recent report in The Washington Post.
“It is the assessment of the intelligence community that Russia’s goal here was to favor one candidate over the other, to help Trump get elected,” said a senior U.S. official familiar with the findings. “That’s the consensus view.”
The ones saying that Russia might not have been the culprit are Trump and some Republicans
There should be vigorous investigations on Trump’s finances and his business links to Russia, especially the oil connection. There is a reason Russia’s Tony Soprano put his thumb on the election scales to favor Trump.
Trump refused to release his tax returns because they would show his business links along with how much he owns banks around the nation and world. The main question is why the experts believe Putin went to bat for Trump?
Reid’s Goodbye
Outgoing Senator Harry Reid recently warned about the dangers of the Trump era in his farewell speech and cited Pope Francis, whom Trump has disparaged, to make that point.
“He said yesterday, and this is a quote, ‘The media that focuses on scandals and spread fake news to smear politicians risk becoming like people who have a morbid fascination with excrement,’” Reid said.
Using a quote from 1984 author, Reid also said, in part: “So press, criticize and oppose. Please do that.”
For the most part, the TV media outlets are a joke, especially CNN – seldom is Trump’s propaganda challenged with facts or tough or probing questions.
CNN’s Jeff Zucker is in the entertainment and ratings business, and he underscored this by hiring Lewanowski to be a CNN contributor while Lewanowski was on Trump’s payroll.
What America is getting is lazy journalism from people who are more concerned with makeup, blowdryers and trying to project an aura of legitimacy. The airwaves are filled with happy talk and nonsense. Filled with fact-free opinions, crystal-ball gazers and tea-leaf readers. Analysis without thought.
That will not change anytime soon – ratings and profits drive, push and cram cable TV agendas.
Sorry, Harry but “criticize and oppose” has been replaced with “titillate and entertain.”
