JUST SAYING

HBO’s documentary “Cries from Syria” is powerful.
Its images are engaging and brutal and horrific. It is about desperate people caught in clutches of an evil dictator who embraces Putin and isn’t afraid to drop lethal nerve gas on innocent people or starve them by cutting off their food supply.
The resilience of a people who simply want to throw off the shackles of Syrian butcher and dictator Bashar Assad is incredible.
The documentary is intense and gives viewers an appreciation of the struggles of Middle East refugees, especially children, who are fleeing this madman and Russian jet fighters who indiscriminately bomb hospitals and schools.
Stuck on Stupid
Most of Trump’s supporters all seem to be SOS (Stuck on Stupid).
But in the Land of Stupid, they are among the easily duped and political pickings in the US of A for Trump and other political con men from both the Democratic and Republican parties.
One example is the 56-year-old Georgia resident who recently told CBS news that she never thought Trump would slash the Meals on Wheels program that she relies upon.
“Are you surprised?” CBS News correspondent Michelle Miller asked Linda Preast at her home in Jones County Saturday.
Seriously? Yet another Trump disciple slips out of his or her politically-induce coma and comes to terms with reality.
What made this woman and others believers swallow Trump’s lies and feel-good promises? When did the euphoria flood the brain and make their brains inoperable?
Did it happen when they got caught up in the cheering at Trump’s campaign rallies when the psychopathic liar con man was stirring up the racists and ignorant with his rants against Mexicans and Muslims?
Apparently, the fact that 13 women accused this sexual deviant of sexually abusing them didn’t do the trick.
Did Preast and other Trump supporters fade away or did they find it amusing when Trump mocked the disabled? Perhaps, it was one when Trump was making crass and vulgar remarks against women? Or, maybe, during his patriotic comment about POWs. Did Preast and others beam when Trump’s thug supporters were encouraged to beat up his vocal critics at this rallies?
Yes, let’s keep America strong, ignorant and well-armed.
Now, reports indicate that many of Trump’s followers are abandoning him because they finally realized that their political messiah isn’t going to take them to the Promise Land as he promised, “believe me.”
This is the Land of Milk and Honey where America would be made “great again” by billionaires at the expense of the Middle Class and poor.
The haters, well, they will always remain in Trump’s camp because they see him as the messenger of the White Race. Summed up: That the South shall rise again and Confederate flags will go up on capitol buildings as a symbol and celebration of a horrific chapter in American history.
For months, Trump has been treated like an Egyptian enigma by TV hosts and their pundits and experts who tried to figure out why so many millions were attracted to amoral buffoon and pathological liar.
It doesn’t require, however, a nuclear scientist or a social engineer or a political columnist or pundit to gauge this country’s landscape, look inside the minds of millions of voters by way of the facts and conclude the obvious.
America is plagued by illiterate people and many of them vote.
Just check out these facts from the Literacy Project Foundation. They are shocking and show why America is a fertile ground for con men and charlatans.
The Nation and Its Economy:
- In a study of literacy among 20 ‘high income’ countries; US ranked 12th
- Illiteracy has become such a serious problem in our country that 44 million adults are now unable to read a simple story to their children
- 50% of adults cannot read a book written at an eighth grade level
- 45 million are functionally illiterate and read below a 5th grade level
- 44% of the American adults do not read a book in a year
- 6 out of 10 households do not buy a single book in a year
- 3 out of 4 people on welfare can’t read
- 20% of Americans read below the level needed to earn a living wage
- 50% of the unemployed between the ages of 16 and 21 cannot read well enough to be considered functionally literate
- Between 46 and 51% of American adults have an income well below the poverty level because of their inability to read
- Illiteracy costs American taxpayers an estimated $20 billion each year
- School dropouts cost our nation $240 billion in social service expenditures and lost tax revenues

Trump Is A Political Enema
Trump is the political enema that America needed to wake up from its comatose cellphone-state-of-mind and realize democracy is eroding because nefarious men and 
women were allowed inside the White House.
Nothing will change until Trumponoics is rolled out and the GOP approve it resulting in billions in tax breaks to billionaires.
Sadly, economics will wake up the nation when unemployment soars, retirement plans are postponed because 401ks tanked and small businesses start closing down.
Trumpononics will give large tax cuts for billionaires, hoping they will throw crumbs to the Middle-Class or poor.
