JUST SAYING

The movie, “A Monster Calls,” epitomizes the excellence of moviemaking in its storytelling, visual imagery and the creative crafting of universal truths.

The main character is a 12-year-old who is dealing with his mother’s illness, being bullied and an unsympathetic grandmother.

It got great reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.

Trump’s Tax Returns

On Saturday, the throngs took to the streets across the nation and demanded that Trump release his tax returns. Fat chance. Trump ran to his Twitter account and criticized the thousands of demonstrators across the country on Saturday who

Trump fired back by running to his Twitter account and criticizing the thousands of protestors.

He stated on Twitter: “Someone should look into who paid for the small organized rallies yesterday. The election is over!”

More than 70 percent of Americans want him to release his returns.

Don’t be surprised if the FBI or other federal agencies already have all of Trump’s tax returns as part of their investigation into Russian hacking and influence peddling along with money laundering.

Trump is con man. He saw problems involving his tax returns, the Russians and allegations of money laundering coming down the road.

There is a reason why Trump appointed Jeff Sessions as attorney general. This is because the FBI’s case after the investigation is completed would end up on Sessions desk and Session would be the one to determine whether to prosecute Trump.

Sessions, however, had to recuse himself when it was reported that he lied to the Senate about meeting with the Russians.

Trump’s liability to get bounced out of the White House or worse ending up in prison just increased by Sessions’ recusal.

Keep in mind that Sessions stood next to Trump during his political campaign, wore a “Make America Great Again” red cap and sang Trump’s praises during the campaign.

When the heat is turned up against Trump, however, and he is looking at possible criminal charges, don’t be surprised if he starts a war with North Korea to divert the attention from the FBI investigation that is growing. Also there are the number of people implicated in money laundering or Russian election hacking who will cut deals to save their own asses from going to the penitentiary.

The evidence against Trump is mounting.

But Trump is a mentally unstable con man who is a danger to the United States and the free world.

The key and operative word here: North Korea.

the Deportation Force

Once, people who picked up the garbage were called garbage men and now they are “sanitation engineers.” Lower level employees at some businesses like Walmart are called “associates.”

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet, Shakespeare once said.

And, putting lipstick on racist Jeff Sessions’ prize pig, his Deportation Force (emphasis on force) isn’t going to make what they often do — pull out weapons in overwhelming numbers, bust doors down and sometimes brutalize, abuse and arrest people, some who have never committed crimes —a Kinder and Gentler version of TSA.

The “Deportation Force” is all in the packaging and selling of a bogus reality of by Republicans. For example, it is easier to package Jim Crow laws under Voter ID laws. Laws that federal courts have bluntly said are discriminatory and designed to keep minorities to vote.

Or,  pretend that Trump’s proposed tax cuts will benefit the middle class when in reality they are nothing more than large tax cuts for the rich.

Here is the blatant tax-cut lie by the Trump administration:  The rich will create jobs for the Middle Class and poor from the money they receive from the tax breaks.  But this has proven to be false by the George Bush’s administration when he gave hefty tax cuts to the wealthy to toss some crumbs to those below.

Under Sessions, the truth and the racism surfaced briefly after Department of Justice referred to people illegally crossing the southern border “filth” until the word suddenly pulled from a press release issued by DOJ.

Here is the DOJ quote from the press release: “It is here, on this sliver of land, where we first take our stand against this filth.”
