Donald Trump is desperate, very desperate.
Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his army of investigators and prosecutors are unleashing subpoenas.
The paperwork mountain is growing as dozens of eyes rummage through the records of Donald Trump’s and Jared Kushner’s and other financial empires.
Mueller, a former decorated U.S. Marine who served in Vietnam, has become a one-man wrecking crew at the Justice Department.
Mueller’s lawyer count on the investigation team is up to 15 attorneys and some are the best in the country in detecting, hard to detect paper crimes. This crew even includes a lawyer who is an expert in flipping suspects.
Trump is in a rage – a recent report indicates that Trump is yelling at the television set and floating the idea of firing Mueller to make the investigation go away.
That would be political suicide for Trump.
There is a lot at stake and the investigation is widening, according to newspaper reports.
A conviction for white collar crimes could mean millions or billions in penalties. The weight of those federal fines coupled with Russian and Chinese loans to Trump and Kushner drying up could crumble their financial empire.
Worse, convictions could send people to prison for a long period of time.
Mueller’s probe along with the leaks being published in the New York Times and Washington Post is why Pence and even Trump’s lawyers are lawyering up.
I believe Pence knows a lot more than he is willing to say about Micheal Flynn’s meetings with Russians. Pence is reportedly raising PAC money in Indiana to fund his own legal defense.
The fingerprints of many White House characters are all over Trump’s subtle post-election scheme of personal financial gain while in the White House.
To make this happen, Trump sent his secret unofficial emissaries, including his son-in-law Kushner, to shop for business deals and loans with the Russians and others after he was elected.
Kushner, however, along with Michael Flynn and Jeff Sessions had convenient lapses in memory and didn’t disclose on Top Secret Security forms that they had met with the Russians. Later, they all admitted that they forgot to mention the meetings with the Russians.
Rumors are flying that Michael Flynn is already cooperating with the investigations against Trump because he is facing a long prison sentence if he is convicted on the perjury charges alone. He could also end up paying hefty penalties that will drain his bank account and send him to the poor house.
Flynn through his attorneys offered to cooperate with the Russian investigation a few months ago.
Kushner could also be looking at perjury charges. He forgot to tell the feds on Top Secret Security forms that he went to the Russian bank, which was under economic sanctions by the U.S. and other countries.
While the rest of the world and U.S. officials criticized Putin after Russian troops invaded Crimea, Trump never said a cross word about Putin. This was by design. Eyeing stronger business opportunities at Russian oil fields and the possibilities of putting up Trump signs in downtown Moscow, he didn’t want to ruffle Putin’s feathers.
On the campaign trail, Trump told his supporters that he’d welcome working with the Russians on common problems like terrorism. Putin said he wants the U.S. and Russians to fight a common foe, keep Americans safe too.
After he was elected, Trump hired Exxon CEO Rex Tillerson to be secretary of state. Tillerson is friends with Putin. Putin pinned a medal on Tillerson the former CEO of Exxon.

Tillerson got the medal for the oil work Exxon did in Russia.
Tillerson was going to meet with Putin and begin the process of paving the way for Russia to get the economic sanction lifted.
Trump, however, underestimated the Congress and the free world. After the leaks and a torrent of bad press, Trump’s idea to make nice with the Russians sputtered, crashed and burned.
It is obvious that Putin and his Russian pals have raided the Russian treasury and taken billions of dollar, much of the stolen money came from Russian oil fields.
That is how Putin, a former KGB agent, became an overnight billionaire.
Putin needed the economic sanctions to be lifted to keep him in power, keep him out of prison and allow him and his anointed Russian thugs to keep the money they stole. Also giving them carte blanche to raid the Russian coffers.
Currently, the Russian economy is frail, and there are massive protests on the streets.
The New Republic has an excellent article about how Putin unleashing his hackers on the U.S. elections has backfired: The article is titled: “Putin’s Pro-Trump Plot Has Backfired Spectacularly.”

Through the years, Putin and his billionaire friends have had to illegally transfer the stolen loot out of the Russia to have it laundered.
Putin has used crooked bankers and financial institutions to wash his billions.
People like Donald and his son-in-law helped Putin with this money problem in exchange for Russian business deals and loans.
