His wife, Elaine Chao, is Trump’s head of Transportation, and McConnell isn’t going to do anything to disrupt his wife’s job security, perks, and power. She is undue influence on his decision making, especially in issues involving the Trump administration.
A reporter, any journalist, should have asked whether his wife’s position in the Trump administration has any bearing on his decisions?
