LOS ANGELES — A Los Angeles physician who operates a medical clinic in Hollywood was indicted by a federal grand jury for a $33 million scheme to defraud Medicare, officials announced today.
Robert A. Glazer, 67, who resides in the Hollywood Hills above West Hollywood, was indicted today and charged with one count of conspiracy to commit health care fraud.
Glazer is scheduled to be arraigned on June 9.
Court documents indicate that from about January 2006 to May 2014, Glazer submitted $33.4 million in false prescriptions, fraudulent Medicare claims and Medicare paid about $22 million
Glazer was initially arrested in this case on May 13. He is free on a $200,000 bond.
