JUST SAYING

IMPEACHING TRUMP

Impeachment hearings accomplish two things: It makes it easier to gather evidence against Trump. It will also air-out Trump’s dirty political laundry in public that will include details like times, dates, and places.
Trump’s pile of very dirty laundry will be high. High enough to gag most of the voices of the Republican Congress and many of his supporters and apologists.
Or perhaps, clear their throats. Embarrassment is out of the question in Trump Land.
The refrain of others already sounds like the 1930s psychopaths, the Brown Shirts. Fuhrer loyalists who lied and made empty promises to protect the Little Corporal and the blood purity of the Motherland.
The NYT editorial: Mitch McConnell “publicly asserted that he had pushed for the funding for Ukraine and received no explanation for why it had been held up by the administration.”
The keyword here is “pushed.”
How hard did Mitch really “push” or was it more like a well-placed nudge and a wink?
It should be noted: Moscow Mitch’s wife and Trump’s Secretary of Labor, Elaine Chao, is under scrutiny for allegedly promoting her family’s business in China. So, Moscow Mitch must tread lightly here or risk Elaine being “asked” by Trump to leave her letter of resignation on top of the stack on her way out the door.
Endless files of records and documents, along with other evidence, will be hung on the Internet for the world to witness.
Some might make Putin blush.
And, maybe, we get a peek of Exhibit A — Trump’s tax returns.
