Business owners who are taking out these loans must fill out applications at banks, and these loan applications state that it is a federal felony crime to make false statements and declarations on the loan paperwork.
Shady characters and businesses who see easy money which is earmarked for economic victims are facing prison time and could also be ordered to pay back the money they illegally stole from the American people.
Under 18 USC 1014, making a false statement on a loan application is a federal offense if the loan is backed by federal financing. For example, signing an application for a Federal Housing Authority (FHA) mortgage that contains a false statement, or knowingly overvaluing collateral assets is a crime. The penalty for this offense can include a maximum of $1,000,000 in fines and 30 years in prison.
Banks that keep accepting loans that they know have false statements can also be prosecuted. The feds can establish a practice and pattern as they did for Deutsche Bank where Donald Trump and his family bank. Russian billionaires with ties to Putin also bank at Deutsche.
Feds made numerous charges against Deutsche Bank including knowingly misrepresented that loans had been reviewed to ensure the ability of borrowers to repay their loans.
“This $7.2 billion resolution – the largest of its kind – recognizes the immense breadth of Deutsche Bank’s unlawful scheme by demanding a painful penalty from the bank, along with billions of dollars of relief to the communities and homeowners that continue to struggle because of Wall Street’s greed,” said Principal Deputy Associate Attorney General Bill Baer. “The Department will remain relentless in holding financial institutions accountable for the harm their misconduct inflicted on investors, our economy, and American consumers.”

The feds repeatedly prosecute banks that have engaged in unscrupulous and illegal banking practices like Wells Fargo, the American Deutsche Bank.
The media needs to start looking at these stacks of applications that are being submitted to by companies that are putting greed and profits above small businesses who are struggling financially.
Here is a story published this week in the Business Insider with the following headline:
“Shake Shack returned its $10 million coronavirus stimulus loan. Ruth’s Chris, Potbelly, and other chains are keeping more than $81 million meant for struggling small businesses.”
The American taxpayer should boycott the Shake Shack, Ruth’s Chris, Potbelly, and other businesses that have taken advantage of a financial aid program that was passed by Congress to help businesses who shut down and laid-off workers because of the Coronavirus.
BTW: I don’t think the Trump Organized Crime Family will pass this opportunity to apply for one of these loans. The loan papers submitted to the bank should give a lot of details about Trump’s financial empire. It might even include his tax returns.
Hopefully, much of this financial information will be published in the New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, or other credible news media outlets.
Congress also needs to investigate where all this taxpayer money was spent after Trump and his circus freaks are sent packing.

VEGAS, WE HAVE A PROTEST
A network of right-leaning individuals and groups, aided by nimble online outfits, are leading the protests, according to the New York Times.
The NYT and Washington Post, along with other major news outlets, need to do investigative stories about how much Trump and his family are losing financially as a result of these shelter-in-place policies.
I venture to say that they are taking a financial bloodbath.
Why is this important?
Because Trump’s ignorant and misinformed decisions to open up the economy at pre-virus levels at his time is putting the lives of people, including children, in danger.
What impact is Trump’s bank account and his desperation having on his decision-making?
BTW: Where are Trump’s tax returns? If Trump Inc. was healthy, does anyone think he wouldn’t be touting and dangling them in front of the American people?
I venture to say they’d appear on Republican political ads and possibly billboards with Trump’s blessing.
Trump owes Deutsche Bank more than $400 million.

So why not get Trump die-hard cheerleaders to get the brain dead to show up on the streets to scare Republican governors into declaring victory and opening up the beaches, stadiums, get public transportation going, and hundreds of other public places. In one state, tattoo parlors, barbershops, and beauty salons are considered essential businesses.

Who to Trust? The Voices in Trump’s Head or Medical Experts
This is nothing more than an outdoor Trump rally while Dear Leader slings the bullshit at the White House.
If Trump told all these Trump morons at a political rally that the sky was falling, they’d go outside to find out if it’s true. Then, Trump would sell them Sky-is-Falling insurance as soon as they walked back inside.
Trump’s breathtaking ignorance, nonsense, and ludicrous conclusions about the Coronavirus are like the Pentagon generals and politicians during the Vietnam War.The brass and pompous asses in D.C. told the American people that the Vietnam War had been won along with the “Hearts and Minds” of the Vietnamese people.
Meanwhile, the frontline troops were ducking bullets, hundreds of Americans were dying, and Vietnam was slowly collapsing.
Now comes Trump the draft dodger who lied about bone spurs to avoid Vietnam. Trump is now trying to sell the country that he concluded after consulting with Hannity and Fox and Friends that it is safe to open businesses.
Forget how deadly this virus is and how fast it can kill.
On the frontlines, however, those who see the daily body count and risk their lives to save the lives of others continue to wear masks.
They are also covered from head to toe to protect themselves, taking extreme precautions to keep from being infected and sterilizing everything they touch.
These are the people with medical degrees and are aware of what this virus is doing and how deadly it is. And, more importantly, what it can do if it spreads like wildfire.Who is one to believe? A first-rate con man buffoon, liar, and coward who is only concerned about this political life and is willing to sacrifice and endanger lives to salvage his sagging credibility?
What about Fox News hosts and Dear Leader cheerleaders who are in it for profits, ratings, celebrity status, and getting hefty paychecks from Rupert Murdoch for towing the Trump propaganda?
Or, should America believe the doctors, nurses, and other health care providers who are on the frontlines battling this global pandemic? The medical experts who say that it is not time to open businesses and to continue practicing six-fee-worth of social distance.
The circus clown at the White House is desperate because his financial empire is collapsing, and he owes Deutsche Bank a lot of money. He is hemorrhaging a lot of money and losing his mind thinking about it.
And, he doesn’t care if people are sacrificed as long as Donald Trump can stop put a quick tourniquet on his financial empire to stop bleeding.
