I have more respect for the vultures on the Serengeti that have a strict pecking order when feasting over a carcass.
The Republicans in Congress would make the Serengeti vultures blush. No pecking order, only sharp elbows and political posturing in competing for the hearts and minds of the carcass of 74-million Trump voters.
The millions out there who believe that a morally bankrupt lunatic could be trusted with the nuclear launch codes, with the Democracy of this nation.
These Republicans, however, inherited the Trump playbook. It got snickers and laughs at first. But it worked.
The stage is being set for 2024, for the next new and improved despot who will be a slick snake wearing a metal flag on a suit lapel and flashing a new eye-catching slogan.
He will sling predictable promises on the campaign trail and indiscreetly find scapegoats for the terrified, losers and failures in life, the paranoid and hateful — for the mobs.
For reasons of expediency and to feed the frenzy of the faithful Trump millions, scapegoats based mostly on skin pigmentation.
Opinion | Trump left them to die. 43 Senate Republicans still licked his boots.
