New York Times Headline: Judge Rejects Trump’s Bid to Keep Papers Secret in Jan. 6 Inquiry
But a Trump lawyer has signaled an intent to appeal the ruling, which raises novel issues about an ex-president’s executive privilege powers.
JUST SAYING
BY RAUL HERNANDEZ
The keyword here is Donald Trump “thinks” he is entitled to executive privilege in this case.
But U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan rules otherwise and kicked his keister with this: “But Presidents are not kings, and Plaintiff is not President.”
Boooom!
The question is, where are the adults in this opera?
Well, there aren’t any, and for the most part, Trump never seemed to surround himself with adults or experts in his life.
Most were stooges, yes-men and women, a conglomeration of clowns, political parasites, opportunists, and fools drunk with power. Also, Don Jr., Ivanka, and Eric, let’s not forget the kids who duped the taxpayers.
It doesn’t matter how much in court and legal fees that The Donald racks up. He can always hold another “political rally” and bill himself as the suffering Messiah, wave his gold-plated tin cup and ask them for a political “love offering.”
The contribution checks, like manna from heaven, will rain down. Fat checks supporting their “I wuz robbed” champion and get him back to his rightful place on Pennsylvania Avenue in 2024.
Before the ink dries, millions of dollars will end up at law firms.
Right now, Trump’s lawyers — armies of shysters —are milking him for all the money they can by subscribing to his fantasies and getting aboard his fact-free universe.
The legal help is getting richer as they crank out the appeals with meaningless legalese that a first-year law student would dream of showing to his law school professor for fear of getting bounced out of the classroom.
Money, a lot of it, makes some people do crazy things.
Hey, if I were one of his shysters, I’d gladly board the Trump Express with Donald as its Chief Engineer, point out the scenery as I ride along, ask if I could toot the horn, and always address The Donald as “Mr. President.”
I would strongly encourage him to take his case to the nation’s highest court because political opponents are mugging him, and his desperate enemies don’t want him back at his rightful place, The White House.
The problem with the White House return is that Trump is buried in an avalanche of lawsuits (two dozen women alone allege that he is a pervert).
And there are serious, grand-jury criminal investigations.
Oops.
In the meantime, Donald will stay busy going in and out of courtrooms, legal conferences, and dispositions.
I predict that Trump will end up in a federal cage after agreeing on a sweet deal and serving prison time.
In addition, a judge will order Trumpster that while on parole, he will no longer go near, around, or in any political outlet, campaign, or polling place in America.
Furthermore, he will not hang out with associates or members of the Trump Organized Crime Family.
And, sad to say, the bankers will finally wake up and refuse to lend Donald a dime. They’ll also want payments on loans.
If I were one of Trump’s legal counselors, as soon as Donald’s checks stop arriving at my law firm or start bouncing, I’d dump this carnival clown.
But for right now, Trump/(fill in the blank)2024!
Yessss, Mr. President.
