Putting duct tape on a leaky pipe in the basement will not fix the problem. The water will continue to rise and a fool will blame the duct tape.
The Mexican people deserve better than his clown, Mexican President Andres Manuel López Obrado.
His endless rolls of duct tape, denial, and attacks on the media are becoming a major source of the problem.

Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador keeps stepping up his attacks against the press — an alarming development in the Western Hemisphere’s most dangerous country to be a journalist. 

Just this year, five journalists have already been killed.

Recently, in a brazen (and likely illegal) act of intimidation, López Obrador publicly divulged what he said were the sources of income of Carlos Loret de Mola, a Mexican reporter and contributing columnist for The Post’s Spanish-language Post Opinión section who has uncovered alleged corruption scandals. In the following days, López Obrador demanded that other journalists disclose their income. He insinuated that the journalists in the group (in which I was included) were members of a shadowy conservative cabal.

His obsession with characterizing journalists as political enemies not only adds to the deadly climate of intimidation in Mexico, but also reveals the populist leader’s brazen efforts to obscure the fact that the country is becoming more and more dangerous, with various regions now resembling war zones.

China touts ‘rock solid’ ties with Russia as it offers to mediate Ukraine conflict

According to the Washington Post,  China is ready to act as mediator between Ukraine and Russia, the country’s foreign minister said on Monday, as he declared Beijing’s relationship with Moscow “rock solid” amid international censure of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.

While Beijing has consistently called for a negotiated diplomatic solution to the conflict, the comment was the first time officials had formally confirmed readiness to be directly involved.

“China is willing to continue playing a constructive role in urging peace talks and is willing when necessary to work together with the international community to launch required mediation,” Foreign Minister Wang Yi told reporters at his annual news conference, part of the meeting of parliament underway in Beijing.

Wang further implied that Chinese President Xi Jinping had encouraged Putin to begin talks when the two spoke by phone on Feb. 25, with Xi expressing China’s desire for peace talks to begin “as soon as possible.”

China wants to mediate. What a joke.

Seriously?
It is like having a member of the Gambino family offering to mediate a dispute between the Genovese family and the FBI.
The Chinese are saying underneath the Maoist hieroglyphics: “let’s give him a fair trial and hang him.”
Him, referring to the Ukrainian people.
Suddenly, the Asian Gangster Xi Jinping wants to continue (when did they begin?) playing a “constructive” role while keeping an eye on the henhouse, Taiwan, and all the fat hens.
Wink, wink.
Of course, no mention that the Chinese will hold a gun to Ukraine’s head while smiling and shoving an agreement written in Chinese in front of the victim.
Hey, Jinping, go clean up your dumpster fire, aka the Communist Chinese Party, before you act as a worldwide volunteer fire department.
If they manage to get a cease-fire after “consulting” with Putin (wink, wink), the Chinese will thump their chests and point to their glorious Gangster, Jinping.
