Just Saying: Trump is Legitimizing Conspiracies Spawned at the Lunatic Asylum

JUST SAYING

Trump is legitimizing the views and conspiracies spawned at the Lunatic Asylum:

Trump Openly Embraces, Amplifies QAnon Conspiracy Theories

Donald Trump is increasingly embracing and endorsing the QAnon conspiracy theory, even as the number of frightening real-world events linked to the movement rises.

After winking at QAnon for yearsDonald Trump is overtly embracing the baseless conspiracy theory, even as the number of frightening real-world events linked to it grows.

JUST SAYING:

There is no question that the U.S. needs at least two strong political parties— whether they are called Democrats, Republicans, Independents, the Whig, or Federalist Party.
The sane political views and ideas of conservatives, liberals, progressives, or whatever should be part of the American conversation.
But this: “Pressed on QAnon theories that Trump allegedly is saving the nation from a satanic cult of child sex traffickers, he claimed ignorance but asked, “Is that supposed to be a bad thing?”
When Trump opens the insane asylum and legitimizes the views of the inmates, that presents a clear and present danger to American Democracy and the nation’s security.
Especially when millions of people subscribe to this brand of crazy, and very few in the Republican Congress say anything to criticize the psychopath who authors or endorses this lunacy.
The lunatic who has become the standard bearer of the GOP admires a Russian despot and says he is in “love” with a North Korean monster is now calling the shots.
That’s sad and pathetic.
