JUST SAYING

The Orange Jesus carefully crafted many Houses of Worship into thinly veiled Trump recruitment and indoctrination centers with the help of the blind-eyed Pharisee Preachers who work there.

Some even handed him the church keys and kept their mouths shut while this nefarious dark soul did his self-righteous black magic.

Still and in pursuing political saviors, the right-wing Zealots entered a marriage of convenience concocted in hell.

Trump was the answer to their prayers. He had all the simple answers to complex problems and even gave them scapegoats.  So, he quickly floated to the top.

The “faith” community even gave him religious “Mulligans” for his transgressions.
These “Mulligans” included the “p.. grabbing, incessant lying, adultery, calling his daughter a “piece of …” and admitting to Howard Stern that he liked to drop by beauty pageants’ dressing rooms, uninvited and unannounced to “inspect” his “merchandise.”

The religious hypocrites silently stood by Trump as his lies soared; he caged migrant children, disrespected Gold Star parents, mocked the disabled, called American heroes who died defending freedom “suckers” and “losers,” etc.

This silence — the lectern silence — could choke a legion of crickets.

This is interesting because thousands of years ago, the man of God they claim to follow, Jesus, didn’t stay quiet about the religious punks of his day. He didn’t mince words either:
“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of dead men’s bones and everything unclean.”

I hope the following image surfaces next time America’s right-wing or left-wing holy men begin looking for a political North Star that will lead to another D.C. gasbag to salvage their agendas.

No surprise that church attendance continues to decline.

And Jesus wept.
