JUST SAYING

BY RAUL HERNANDEZ

blue white and red flagThe potential return of Donald Trump to office raises serious concerns regarding national security and the handling of classified information. There are fears that America’s most sensitive secrets could be at risk of being dispersed globally, purposefully, or through theft.
Questions are raised about his understanding of the immense responsibility of the presidency, particularly in safeguarding highly classified national information.
America and the rest of the world witnessed how this seriously mentally ill man stole and grossly mishandled the nation’s most sensitive classified documents, potentially jeopardizing the safety and lives of American citizens, military personnel stationed around the world, and our allies.
Trump’s perceived notion that he has the unilateral authority to declassify top-secret information and use it at his discretion, including storing classified information in a lavish bathroom at Mar-a-Lago, is frightening.
Furthermore, there is criticism that the Democratic Party isn’t fully and passionately addressing the enormous risks associated with a second Trump term or the consequences of allowing Trump access to the nuclear launch codes and America’s top secrets.

Trump’s impulsive decisions, an easily bruised ego, and his vindictiveness will result in catastrophic global consequences.  Nobody knows this better than Gen. Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs

Following the November election, General Milley raised serious concerns regarding the potential actions of then-President Donald Trump and his associates.
The CNN report states that these worries were so profound that Gen. Milley and other senior officials felt compelled to devise informal strategies to counteract any possible coup or illegal maneuvers by Trump.
This news story underscores the depth of anxiety within the highest ranks of the U.S. military about the stability of American democracy under Trump’s leadership.
Another Donald Trump presidency poses a tremendous threat to the planet, greater than COVID or climate change.
He’ll be able to incinerate the world, and his appointed stooges in his administration and the military will allow him to do so.
