Posted on March 13, 2024

LANCASTER, CA

A  man has been found guilty Tuesday of killing his four children and their grandmother in November 2021, officials announced Wednesday.

“I am deeply thankful to the dedicated jury and skilled trial lawyers who tirelessly sought justice in the Germarcus David case,” District Attorney George Gascón said.  The emotional challenge of presenting evidence of such senseless loss is immense. Their courage in pursuing accountability and closure for the victims and their family is truly commendable.”

Germarcus Lamar David, 32, of Lancaster, was convicted of five counts of first-degree murder and three counts of assault on a child causing death.

The special circumstance allegation of multiple murders was found true. The allegation that he used a firearm was also found true, along with several circumstances in aggravation.

David is expected to be sentenced April 24.

On November 28, 2021, David fatally shot the victims at the family home in the 3500 block of Garnet Lane in Lancaster. The victims are: 51-year-old Erika England.; 11-year-old Namyiah D.; 7-year-old Germarcus D. Jr.; 2-year-old Kayden D.; and 1-year-old Noah D.
