In Latest Primaries, Two In 10 Republicans Are Still Voting Against Trump — Huffington Post:
JUST SAYING
BY RAUL HERNANDEZ
In the latest primaries, a troubling trend persists: two out of every ten Republicans continue to cast their vote against Donald Trump.
Rather than focusing solely on this statistic, it’s crucial to question why a significant majority of Republicans—eight out of ten—are still backing a figure widely denounced as a repugnant, morally bankrupt racist.
Consider the gravity of the situation: We’re discussing support for an individual who, if elected, would wield control over the nation’s nuclear arsenal. Who among us would willingly entrust such power to someone exhibiting concerning behavior?
Furthermore, there’s the unsettling prospect of endorsing someone intent on dismantling American democracy and advocating for the release of those who stormed the Capitol on January 6th, traitors to the nation’s ideals.
Let’s not forget the litany of transgressions: a man who recklessly mishandled classified information, jeopardizing the safety of Americans and allies alike. A man who denigrated the sacrifices of American servicemen and women, dismissing them as “suckers” and “losers.”
Add to this his unabashed hubris, openly declaring he has never sought forgiveness from a higher power. And his divisive rhetoric, targeting Jewish voters who don’t align with his political views.
In light of these reprehensible actions and countless others, the real question begs to be asked: Who are these people within our society who continue to offer unwavering support, adulation, and reverence to such evil?
