JUST SAYING
BY RAUL HERNANDEZ
The tragic massacre that resulted in over 1,100 deaths in Israel can be attributed to the leadership failures of Prime Minister Netanyahu. Currently, under indictment, Netanyahu lacks the moral authority to remain in power.
The U.S. should reconsider its position on arming a leader who has sought to undermine Israel’s democracy by weakening its judicial system. Moreover, Netanyahu’s recent actions to expel Al Jazeera are seen as attempts to obscure the ongoing situation in Gaza and his role in potentially escalating international tensions.
The U.S. should withhold further support for Israel until it addresses the issue of leadership that jeopardizes democratic principles.
Netanyahu’s aggressive tactics appear driven by personal interests — to avoid prosecution and maintain his position — burdening U.S. taxpayers in the process.
His actions provide a cautionary example of the dangers posed when leaders with questionable ethics assume power.
