Donald Trump has told a group of evangelicals that they “cannot afford to sit on the sidelines” of the 2024 election, imploring them at one point to “go and vote, Christians, please!”.

Religious chest-pounding by hypocrites has persisted for thousands of years. It’s now being politically polished through Ten Commandment posters in public schools, showcased for votes, and endorsed by a conman who rivals the devil in lying and deceit. This is repugnant.

Jesus Christ summed this up this way:

“You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”
