When Trump became president, CNN, and MSNBC panelists and hosts initially tried to analyze his erratic behavior as if he were an enigma, attempting to decode his political doublespeak and search for hidden complexities.Years later, the media is only now realizing that this severely mentally ill man has no business being commander-in-chief of America’s nuclear arsenal.
Before then, most reporting was nothing more than titillation, entertainment, and sensationalism for ratings and profits.
After all, the Trump Freak Show was good for TV profits, ratings, and a myriad of talking points.
However, Trump, his supporters, and his enablers have never been able to fool many intelligent people.
Even conservatives like Geoge Will and Donnie Deutsch recognized months before Trump was elected that he was a dishonest con man with a mean streak, displaying signs of mental instability.
His words and actions come from a dark place, relishing in causing physical and emotional pain to others.
For those still holding onto hope, it’s straightforward: you can’t analyze crazy or understand evil.
