The medal, which will be presented to the honorees at the White House, is awarded to U.S. citizens “who have performed exemplary deeds of service for their country or their fellow citizens,” the White House said in a statement.

It’s a tragic reflection of our times that in this country, a politician is celebrated with a medal simply for having the courage and integrity to uphold the truth and investigate the vile actors—and their scheming instigator—who dared to overthrow American democracy on January 6th.

Congratulations, Liz Cheney.

When the Orange Dark-Hearted Mutt and his political parasites inevitably move to free the insurrectionists and traitors sitting in prison, they should first be made to stand in solemn silence before the Vietnam War Memorial or the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier—a stark reminder of those who fought and died to protect the very democracy they sought to destroy.
