JUST SAYING: Avoiding the “R” Word by Reciting the Script Concocted by Trump

Posted on January 27, 2025

Pete Hegseth Hints At Restoring Original Confederate Names Of U.S. Military Bases — Huffington Post

JUST SAYING

BY RAUL HERNANDEZ

Hegseth is reciting the script Trump handed him—what else would you expect from “Party Boy,” who bamboozled his way into all that power at the Pentagon as the head of the Secretary of Defense?

Trump and Pete want to slow-walk their big plan—maybe do a little market testing—while Trump continues blurting out bizarre ideas and rolling out more nutty orders, all in a clumsy effort to dodge the big “R” word.

Once the dust kicks up, Trump will happily say, “I’ll support Pete’s decision,” and then scurry off, pretending he had nothing to do with it.

Renaming bases for Confederate traitors who caused the deaths of more than 600,000 people can be easily explained, like Jan. 6th pardons.

As for the all-white chorus over in the Republican Congress, they’ll be bobbing and weaving around reporters in the corridors, honing their ability to whip up salad-worthy nonsense (just remember their dance around January 6—or Mike Johnson, for that matter).

And of course, we can’t forget the star of this circus: an unhinged, hateful weasel whose mental stability is as questionable as his spray tan—otherwise known as Donald Trump.
