A federal indictment alleges that eight members and associates of the GoodFellas Gang with attempted murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, and attempted carjacking in the Atlanta area, according to officials.
According to the indictment, the GoodFellas recruit heavily in Atlanta neighborhoods, local jails, and Georgia prisons, using violence to bolster their reputation. Six defendants allegedly attempted to murder four victims, while two others attempted a carjacking and assaulted three victims, officials stated.
The defendants—Frank Hubbert (Capo Frank), 38; Montavis Jones (Nigel Woods, Jitt, Git), 37; Darian Sheppard (Lil D), 27; De’Andre Jackson (Gen, Glock, Glizzy), 22; Ephram Marshall (Lil E), 24; Tahj Rankine (Biggz), 26; and Leonunte Carson (Lil Tae), 22—face multiple counts of attempted murder and firearm offenses. Hubbert and Ahday Nelson-George (Baby K), 25, are charged with assault and attempted carjacking.
Seven defendants face life in prison, while Nelson-George faces up to 75 years.
Trial Attorney Sarah J. Rasalam of the Criminal Division’s Violent Crime and Racketeering Section and Assistant U.S. Attorney Lauren Renaud for the Northern District of Georgia are prosecuting the case.
