With Citizens United, Roberts greenlit the wholesale auctioning of American democracy, declaring that corporations are people and billionaires like Elon Musk are free to bankroll their favorite ideologues straight onto the bench. He turned the Court into a showroom for oligarchs and autocrats.

Then came the Roberts Court’s gift to Trump: a warped notion of “qualified immunity” that all but wrapped the former president in legal bubble wrap. It whispered to the Orange Messiah, “Go ahead—kill your enemies, violate the Constitution, just don’t forget to tweet about it.” Accountability? That’s for peasants.

Meanwhile, the MAGA mascots—Clarence “Uncle Thomas” Thomas, Samuel Alito, and Neil Gorsuch—continue rubber-stamping theocratic fever dreams and autocratic fantasies. They don’t interpret law; they channel Fox News talking points in legalese.

Roberts knows Trump isn’t just looming—he’s licking his chops at the prospect of reshaping the court further, replacing justices, ignoring rulings, and blowing past precedent like a dictator in waiting. Project 2025 is the blueprint, and Roberts has spent the last decade clearing the path.
