So who’s supposed to fix that? Congress — and that means your representatives. Here is how to call them in D.C. or their state offices:One in Washington, D.C., where they vote and debate laws.
One or more local offices, called satellite offices, in their home states. These offices exist to help people like you with real-life problems — things like Social Security checks, veterans’ benefits, or passports.
Finding them is simple:
To find your House Representative, go to house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative. Type in your ZIP code, click your representative’s name, and open their Contact or Offices page. You’ll see addresses, phone numbers, and emails.
To find your U.S. Senators, visit senate.gov/senators. Each state has two. Click their names for office locations and phone numbers.
If you want a full list of Congress, check congress.gov/members/find-your-member or usa.gov/elected-officials.
Always use .gov sites — they’re the real deal. Your elected officials work for you, not the other way around. So call, write, or visit their offices and remind them — vacations can wait when people’s lives are on the line.
