The New York Times has finally discovered—after more than a decade—that Donald Trump may be mentally unstable and physically unfit. The NYT recently and cautiously raised the question of whether such a person should have access to nuclear weapons.

Better late than never.

The Wall Street Journal followed with a “strongly worded” editorial, apparently hoping stern language might penetrate the mind of a man with a long record of cruelty, retribution, and compulsive dishonesty.

Eureka.

This presumes, of course, that Trump reads newspapers, absorbs facts, or cares about national security briefings—none of which history suggests.

So good luck with the strongly worded editorial salad.

The rest of sane America has known for years—millions for decades—that Trump is unstable, cruel, and corrupt, and that barely scratches the surface.

Which brings us to Rupert Murdoch, owner of the Wall Street Journal and the New York Post, and the architect of the Trump propaganda and praise pagoda known as Fox News.

If Murdoch were serious about the nation’s well-being, he would put public safety above profits and ratings and dial down the nonstop Trump glorification by Sean and the Gang at Fox of a man who thrives on grievance and incitement.

Doing so wouldn’t solve everything—but it would go a long way toward reducing the fear, radicalization, bloodshed and violence on America’s streets by the Trump administration and ICE

That would be real leadership.
