Jacques Jackson, who raped three teenage girls he met on Instagram, has been sentenced to 25 years in federal prison, according to the FBI.
Law enforcement first encountered Jacques Jackson, 30, of Atlanta, in August 2018 in Decatur, Ga., after DeKalb County officers rescued a 15-year-old girl he had met on Instagram, federal officials stated Tuesday.
Jackson admitted knowing the victim was underage, coercing her to meet him out of state, assaulting her, breaking her phone, and having sex with her. He was released on bond six months later.
In October 2021, Elberton, Ga., police investigated the disappearance of another 15-year-old girl who had been communicating with Jackson. She later told investigators that Jackson sent an Uber for her, took her to a motel, and had sex with her multiple times.
The FBI located Jackson in June 2022 on a Greyhound bus in Big Spring, Texas. He was arrested with a gun, $3,500 in cash, and another runaway who said she met him on Instagram and that he recorded videos of their sexual encounters.
DNA evidence also tied Jackson to a 2015 rape of a 15-year-old in Atlanta, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said.
On Jan. 23, 2026, U.S. District Judge Thomas W. Thrash Jr. sentenced Jackson to 25 years in prison and 10 years of supervised release. He pleaded guilty in May 2025 to transporting a minor across state lines for sex and to enticing two minors for sex.
The FBI led the investigation with help from police in DeKalb County, Baton Rouge, Big Spring, and Elberton, and from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
