If Bezos has even a shred of self-respect left, he should unload The Washington Post to someone who actually understands accuracy, fairness, balance — and the First Amendment. Someone who believes a newsroom exists to hold power accountable, not audition for cocktail hours at Mar-a-Lago.
Until then, the rest of the country should vote with its wallet: boycott Amazon and Whole Foods Market.
And if Democrats ever grow a spine in Congress, they should break Bezos’ monopoly grip on commerce and media — and shut down this billionaire cosplay of buying America one influence deal at a time.
