Man Indicted on 30 Federal Counts in Bank Theft, Money Laundering Scheme

Posted on July 14, 2026

SEATTLE — A Woodinville man has been indicted on 30 federal felony charges accusing him of stealing more than $440,000 from two banks where he worked and laundering the money through other financial institutions, officials announced last week.

According to the indictment, Joshua Shore, 41, worked as operations manager of a cash vault at a nationwide bank’s Tukwila facility from July 2019 to April 2022.

The charges are allegations. Shore is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

He allegedly stole $40,000 on Dec. 6, 2021, and $100,000 on Jan. 28, 2022.

Prosecutors say he laundered the money through repeated $3,000 cash deposits of $100 bills at ATMs belonging to a different bank where he held personal accounts, then moved the funds to another institution.

From September 2023 to December 2025, Shore worked as a market manager at a bank in Renton. The indictment alleges he stole $300,000 from that vault on the eve of the Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples Day holiday, then laundered it through ATM deposits of up to $10,000 at a time into a personal account at another bank.
