CAMDEN, N.J. — A Philadelphia man has been sentenced to 324 months (27 years) in federal prison followed by a lifetime of supervised release after pleading guilty to multiple child exploitation offenses involving a minor victim, federal prosecutors announced Monday.
Bobbyjean Orak, 31, of Philadelphia, was sentenced on July 30, 2026, by U.S. District Judge Karen M. Williams in U.S. District Court in Camden, according to U.S. Attorney Robert Frazer.

According to prosecutors, Orak groomed a vulnerable child over several years before transporting the victim across state lines to sexually abuse her. Authorities arrested him following a month-long FBI-led manhunt.
Investigators also determined the child was not his only victim.
“There is no greater duty than protecting children from those who seek to exploit them,” U.S. Attorney Robert Frazer said in a statement. “Those who prey on our children should know this: our office will relentlessly pursue them, aggressively prosecute them, and hold them fully accountable under the law.”
According to court documents and statements made during court proceedings, the case began in February 2022, when Bobbyjean Orak, then 27, initiated an online relationship with an 11-year-old girl identified in court records as Victim-1.
Prosecutors said Orak initially concealed his true age and gender before grooming the child and developing a sexually exploitative relationship. Through that relationship, authorities said, he obtained child sexual abuse material depicting the victim. Court records also allege that Orak sent messages describing the sexual acts he intended to commit against the girl.
At the same time, prosecutors said Orak targeted other minors online, persuading them to send sexually explicit images and videos. In some cases, he allegedly used blackmail to coerce victims into providing additional material.
In July 2024, authorities said Orak persuaded Victim-1 to leave her Philadelphia home in the middle of the night and transported her across state lines into New Jersey. The pair moved among hotels in an effort to avoid detection while law enforcement searched for them.
During that time, prosecutors said Orak continued to sexually exploit the child and isolated her from friends and family to make it more difficult for authorities to locate them. Investigators also alleged that he financed their time on the run by committing a series of gas station robberies in Burlington County.
After a month-long search, FBI agents, working with local law enforcement, located Orak and Victim-1 at a hotel in Galloway, New Jersey. Authorities arrested Orak without incident and safely reunited the child with her family later that evening.
A subsequent examination of Orak’s cellphone and online accounts allegedly uncovered more than 1,000 images and videos of child sexual abuse material depicting Victim-1 and other minor victims, according to prosecutors.
The case was investigated by the FBI with assistance from local law enforcement agencies.
