JUST SAYING: The Post Got Played — Here’s What’s Actually Happening to Putin

Posted on August 28, 2026

Putin sees U.S. as weakened by Iran war, intelligence reports say

The classified assessment of the Kremlin’s thinking preceded CIA Director John Ratcliffe’s secret trip to Moscow this week.

CIA Director John Ratcliffe’s mysterious trip to Moscow this week was preceded by fresh U.S. intelligence indicating that the Kremlin sees the United States as weakened by the Iran war, offering Russia an opportunity to escalate action against American interests and allies in Europe, according to two people familiar with the matter.

The details of Ratcliffe’s talks with his Russian counterpart remain secret, but one of the people told The Washington Post that the CIA chief warned Moscow against ramping up its war against Ukraine, arguing that such a move would backfire. This person and others spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the subject’s sensitivity.

JUST SAYING

BY RAUL HERNANDEZ

Total BS.

The Washington Post says Putin sees America as weakened by the Iran conflict and might be emboldened to widen his war in Europe. That’s not analysis. That’s stenography.

The paper is parroting claims from Trump’s own CIA director, John Ratcliffe — without asking the obvious question: does Putin even have the fuel, the weapons, the troops, or the industrial base to launch another major war? The Post didn’t check. It just printed.

This is what happens when a newspaper owned by Trump-friendly billionaire Jeff Bezos keeps bleeding readers and credibility. Too much of what runs in the Post now reads like it was drafted in the White House press office — administration talking points, dressed up as independent journalism.

Here’s what the Post isn’t telling you. Credible European outlets report Russia is running out of fuel. Supply lines are breaking down. Ukrainian strikes are hammering critical infrastructure. And the Russian public is running out of patience with Putin’s war.

Ukraine is bringing this war home to Russia.

If the Post wants a real story, send reporters to Crimea and the Russian land bridge. Go look. One recent report from PPR Global says the Crimean land bridge is gone — hundreds of trucks stranded, one of Putin’s most critical supply routes paralyzed:

And who cheered  the loudest when Putin came for Ukraine?

Donald Trump — who called the invasion strategy “genius” right before the tanks rolled in. Putin’s war was never about security. It was about empire, built on the freedom of millions of Ukrainians.

So why won’t Putin stop? Why is he now threatening Britain, one of Kyiv’s staunchest allies?

Because stopping is the one thing he can’t survive.

Putin knows what waits for him if he loses his grip: a furious population, generals who’ve had enough, a government that could collapse under him. Losing power doesn’t mean retirement. It means arrest. Prosecution. A war crimes docket, political assassinations, billions looted and exposed.

He may be picturing a rope in downtown Moscow.

Trump has his own reckoning to dodge. Felony convictions. Ongoing legal exposure. For him, November isn’t just an election — it’s a liability. And that raises a real danger: if he loses, he tries to burn down the process again, just like he did before.

Two desperate men. Two cornered leaders. Between them, more than 10,000 nuclear weapons.

Cornered. Armed. Desperate. That’s not a stable combination — it’s a fuse.
