CONNECTICUT – The body of Dawayne Cobb was found inside of an idling vehicle in a Bridgeport neighborhood in 2012. He had gunshot wounds in his shoulder and abdomen, officials said.
The two men – Trumaine Hearst, also known as “Man,” 21, and Johnnie “Jeezy” Jefferson, 24, – have pleaded guilty to murdering Cobb and stealing a jar containing two ounces of marijuana from him. They took the stolen marijuana to a Bridgeport residence and distributed within themselves and others, authorities said.
Hearst plead guilty Monday to one count of causing the death of Cobb with a firearm. Jefferson guilty to the same charge on November 3, 2014.
Hearst will be sentenced in February and Jefferson awaits sentencing.
