Plastic Surgeon Sentenced to four Years for Hiding $5 Million in Secret Bank Accounts to Avoid Taxes.

A federal judge sentenced an Anchorage, Alaska, plastic surgeon to four years for wire fraud and tax evasion by hiding $5 million.
In addition, U.S. District Judge Sharon Gleason of Anchorage ordered Dr.Michael D. Brandner, 67, to serve two years of supervised release, and pay $25,922 toward the costs of prosecution.

Singapore Man Who Allegedly Exported Devices to Iran Later Found in Bombs in Iraq Extradited to U.S.

A 42-year-old Singapore man was extradited to U.S. from Indonesia to stand trial on charges of taking part in a conspiracy that allegedly caused thousands of radio frequency modules to be illegally exported from U.S. to Iran, according to federal officials.
Sixteen of these devices were later found in unexploded improvised explosives in Iraq, officials said.

The owner of a North Texas medical company regularly directed nurses to give hospice patients overdoses of drugs such as morphine to speed up their deaths and maximize profits, an FBI agent wrote in an affidavit for a search warrant obtained by NBC 5.
Executive Brad Harris, 34, founded Novus Health Care Services, Inc., in July 2012, according to state records. The Novus office is located on Dallas Parkway in Frisco.

It was a sweet deal.
Jane Laut who killed her husband Dave Laut, a 1984 Olympic bronze star medalist, would get six years in prison if she would plea guilty to voluntary manslaughter.
The deal was all but gift wrapped: Prosecutors also agreed not to tack on the use of a weapon during the commission of a felony crime. This would mean that Laut would be eligible for parole after serving about half of the six-year sentence.
Jane Laut, however, refused the offer.
