\"Justice-Depart\"<\/a>A child sex offender who was convicted of child pornography in Florida moved to Tacoma, Washington, and started volunteering to babysit neighborhood children there, according to officials.<\/p>\n

Friday, Caleb Dean Eccles<\/strong>, 32, plead guilty on Friday to producing and distributing child pornography, and is facing a minimum of 25 years in prison, federal officials state.<\/p>\n

He will be sentenced in August.<\/p>\n

Eccles went by the name of \u00a0“Caleb Eckoles” in order to avoid detection of his sex offender registration status, authorities stated.<\/p>\n

According to the plea agreement, Eccles was convicted in Florida in 2002 of sixty three child pornography offenses and was sentenced to ten years of probation.\u00a0 He was required to register as a sex offender.<\/p>\n

He moved to the Lake Tapps area and held his name out to be \u2018Eckoles.'”<\/p>\n

Using that name, Eccles volunteered to babysit for families in his neighborhood.\u00a0 Eccles admits in his plea agreement that he sought to have access to young boys so that he could sexually abuse them and record the sexual abuse using his phone and other electronic devices, according to authorities.<\/p>\n

In October 2013, Eccles created an account at a website known for trading child pornography.<\/p>\n

Between October 2013 and March 2014, officials said Eccles uploaded sexually explicit images of a 10-year-old boy.\u00a0 On two different dates in February 2014, Eccles made videos of his sexual molestation of the young boy.<\/p>\n

Eccles came to the attention of law enforcement due to an investigation of the website used to trade child pornography.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
