{"id":16504,"date":"2015-10-15T12:38:45","date_gmt":"2015-10-15T19:38:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/?p=16504"},"modified":"2015-10-15T12:39:28","modified_gmt":"2015-10-15T19:39:28","slug":"feds-man-who-robbed-eight-banks-sentenced-to-12-years-in-prison","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/?p=16504","title":{"rendered":"Feds:  Man Who Robbed Nine Banks Sentenced to 12 Years in Prison"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>TEXAS<\/strong><\/h2>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong> U.S. District Judge Lee Yeakel<\/strong> sentenced \u00a034-year-old <strong>Willie James Cleveland<\/strong> of San Antonio to 12 years in federal prison for robbing nine banks earlier this year along the Interstate 35 corridor between Austin and San Antonio, officials announced.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the prison term, Judge Yeakel, of Austin, ordered that Cleveland pay a total of $39,702 restitution to the financial institutions.<\/p>\n<p>On July 2, 2015, Cleveland pleaded guilty to two counts of bank robbery with a dangerous weapon, officials said.<\/p>\n<p>Cleveland admitted he robbed nine banks between February 2015 and the end of April 2015, according to authorities.<\/p>\n<p><strong> According to court records, Cleveland is responsible for the following bank robberies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Feb. 12 \u2014Woodforest National Bank\u20141500 block of N. Loop 1604 East in San Antonio<br \/>\nFeb. 18 \u2014Woodforest National Bank\u20149300 block of IH-35 South in Austin<br \/>\nFeb. 26 \u2014Wells Fargo Bank\u20141000 block of Texas Highway 80 in San Marcos<br \/>\nMarch 14 \u2014Wells Fargo Bank\u20141200 block IH-35 South in New Braunfels<br \/>\nMarch 16 \u2014Chase Bank\u20145400 block of IH-35 North in Austin<br \/>\nMarch 26, 2015 and April 7, 2015\u2014Air Force Credit Union\u20143100 block of Wurzbach in San Antonio<br \/>\nApril 16 \u2014BBVA Compass Bank\u20147500 block of Wurzbach in San Antonio<br \/>\nApril 18 \u2014BBVA Compass Bank\u20145700 block of Cameron Road in Austin<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Police arrested Cleveland on April 20.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TEXAS U.S.
