\"FBI<\/a>A 31-year-old employee who concocted a scheme to defraud Planet Fitness Holdings, LLC<\/strong> of more than $920,000 by ordering 1,800 iPads on the company’s account will be sentenced in January, officials said.<\/p>\n

The computers were sold to companies in Rexburg, Idaho and Lawton Oklahoma, officials said.<\/p>\n

Nicholas Selby<\/strong>, age 31, pleaded guilty last week to engaging in a scheme to defraud Planet Fitness Holdings.<\/p>\n

Selby, who worked as a systems engineer at Planet Fitness,<\/strong>\u00a0is facing up to 20 years in prison when he is sentenced.<\/p>\n

Planet Fitness owns and operates 58 health clubs in eight states and Canada. An additional 942 health clubs are operated under franchise agreements with Planet Fitness, according to officials.<\/p>\n

This is the evidence against Selby:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

From November 2013 to March 2015, Selby got Planet Fitness to pay for more than 1,800 iPads by submitting more than 90 invoices to the company\u2019s accounts payable department that falsely described the items purchased.<\/p>\n

Selby bought the iPads from technology vendors with whom Planet Fitness maintained credit accounts.<\/p>\n

The iPads were shipped via interstate commercial mail carriers to Planet Fitness\u2019 corporate office, where Selby took delivery and sold them to companies in Rexburg, Idaho, and Lawton, Oklahoma.<\/p>\n

Selby\u2019s scheme was discovered when an employee of Planet Fitness had a telephone call concerning the status of a legitimately ordered iPad which led to the vendor discussing the orders placed by Selby, according to authorities.<\/p>\n

Planet Fitness then conducted an internal investigation to document the fraud and reported it to the Newington Police.<\/p>\n

A former resident of Madbury, New Hampshire, Selby now lives in Snellville, Georgia, officials said.<\/p>\n

The Newington, New Hampshire Police Department and the FBI investigated this case, officials said.<\/p>\n
