After the accelerated growth of the Black Lives Matter movement, many racists across America have gone on a barnstorming campaign, posting the catch phrase White Lives Matter (WLM), to counter a message they believe is playing a part in a systematic devaluing of white culture \u2013\u2013\u00a0even orchestrating what they call a \u201cwhite genocide.”<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\"UnitedSince then, the Texas-based neo-Nazi group Aryan Renaissance Society (ARS), a\u00a0member of the white nationalist coalition United Aryan Front<\/a>, has attempted to capitalize on this momentum by promoting WLM as \u201ca movement dedicated to [the] promotion of the white race,\u201d according to ARS documents.<\/span><\/p>\n

While its unclear if WLM is a group attempting to create this alleged movement, claiming to have \u201crepresentatives in various states\u201d or a pet project of ARS, members of ARS encourages sympathetic whites who want to spread the WLM message to contact ARS members.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tennessean Rebecca Barnette, a member of ARS, ran one of the WLM Facebook pages (until it was shut down). ARS member Scott Lacy appears to manage the White Lives Matter Texas and Oklahoma Community Facebook page, posting family photos on the Facebook profile. To top it off, ARS also claims to be \u201cthe leading force behind the WLM Movement.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

But the \u201cwhite lives matter\u201d message is not as simple as it seems. Much like the Council of Conservative Citizens<\/a> (CCC), which inspired Dylann Roof<\/a> to kill nine people last year in Charleston, S.C., ARS also promotes the false black-on-white crime narrative. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The fliers promoting WLM also includes the ARS logo, a lightening bolt and runic symbol drawn over a phoenix \u2013\u2013 a Greek mythological bird that arises from a tragic death, representing, according to ARS, the \u201cStrength, Defiance, Perseverance and Nobility\u201d of the \u201cAryan Spirit.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

ARS members in southeast Texas have so far taped fliers on bathroom walls, light posts and bus stops that read, \u201cIt\u2019s Not Racist to Love your People,\u201d including the hashtag #whitelivesmatter. But ARS has gone farther than simply handing out fliers to promote its message. The group organizes social gatherings to build a sense of camaraderie among supporters, and plans to organize a campout around Houston, Texas, next month.<\/span><\/p>\n

Divine Truth Ministries (DTM), an anti-Semitic religious sect, also is planning a White Lives Matter rally coinciding with Adolf Hitler\u2019s birthday in April to \u201cpromote the idea that Whites have a right to live, and without fear; and to secure the existence of our people, and a future for white children\u201d \u2013\u2013 a not too subtle nod to David Lane<\/a>\u2019s infamous \u201c14 Words.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Describing itself as a \u201cnetwork of dedicated White Separatists diligently striving to impart a New Racial Consciousness to Aryankind,\u201d ARS has plans to create an \u201cAryan oligarchy based on genetic aristocracy\u201d to \u201cenhance the [white] Race.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

This ethnic state \u2013\u2013\u00a0a pipe dream held by most white nationalists \u2013\u2013\u00a0will be carved out within the United States. \u201cAreas have already been earmarked in anticipation of this eventuality, such as the American Northwest and Western Canada,\u201d ARS claims in its Ten Point Position Statement.<\/span><\/p>\n

To ARS, an \u201cautonomous Aryan Society\u201d will keep whites safe from racial genocide and \u201cthe ongoing\u2026 bastardization of the white race, racial integration\u2026[and] inter-breeding.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Presenting itself as a family-friendly environment, ARS encourages members (and those supportive of the WLM message) to bring their wives, girlfriends and kids to social gatherings and campouts, hoping to build \u201ca renewed racial consciousness.\u201d \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

One photo from an ARS party showed Ron Price and his son giving the Nazi salute. Others include Nazi flags draped in the background. In photos from one event in August 2015, ARS members held WLM signs alongside a procession of cars driving to a public memorial service for the Harris County Deputy Darren H. Goforth, who was shot and killed in Cypress, Texas.<\/span><\/p>\n

Barnette, the Tennessee member of ARS, unsuccessfully organized a \u201csocial media\u201d protest in August 2015 against a BLM rally in the Johnson City, Tenn. Responding to the BLM demonstration, she said, \u201c(We) have a small army ready to blow their little party out of the water \u2026 in the proper way,\u201d according to a Johnson City Press news article<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Besides Barnette\u2019s membership in ARS, she also describes herself as a \u201crevolutionist\u201d wanting to \u201ccreate a new world for [white people].\u201d Barnette has also written \u201cBolts to the Sky,\u201d on her Facebook wall, a slogan predominately used by the violent Tennessee racist prison gang Aryan Nations.<\/span><\/p>\n

From ARS member Doug Chism, who has a large \u201cWhite Lives Matter\u201d sign posted outside of his house, to Barnett who calls herself \u201ca soldier\u2026warrior [and] fighter\u2026\u201d for the white race, ARS claims it is \u201ccommitted to whatever is necessary\u201d to \u201creturn\u2026[a] sense of pride\u201d to \u201cthe Aryan race.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
