Instead they\u2019ll be kept locked up in patrol vehicles, officials say.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u201cThey\u2019ll be deployed into a locking mechanism that is inside our vehicles and they will only be deployed if there is a situation where they need to be deployed,\u201d Payne told FOX31.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The armed security officers are former law enforcement officers who \u201ctrain side-by-side\u201d with the local sheriff\u2019s office, Payne said.
