and punching a third victim in the stomach, without warning, as she balanced with her eyes closed during a \u201cDUI test\u201d he forced her to perform.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">After punching her in the stomach, Muslim then dragged her by her hair to a bathroom and repeatedly punched her until she vomited.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The evidence further showed that Muslim kidnapped one of the victims and viciously beat her after she left and reported him to the police.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1537 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/LADYJUSTICE.jpg\" alt=\"LADYJUSTICE\" width=\"274\" height=\"240\" \/>Witnesses testified that he lured her to a hotel, pretending to be a customer, then attacked her and shoved her into a storage trunk.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">After transporting the trunk to his house, he handcuffed her, bound her feet and continued to beat her, breaking a toilet in the process.\u00a0 Muslim then left her in the shower \u2013 still handcuffed \u2013 overnight with cold water running on her until she managed to escape and report the kidnapping to a neighbor the next day, according to court testimony.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The evidence also showed that Muslim continued \u00a0to intimidate and control the victims even after his arrests on both federal and state charges.\u00a0 He convinced the kidnapping victim to submit a false affidavit declaring his innocence, resulting in dismissal of state charges.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">He further harassed a victim in the federal case to submit a false affidavit regarding a sexually explicit video that he produced of her when she was 16 years old, according to authorities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u201cShahid Muslim promised his victims the loving support of a family, instead he controlled them through beatings, fear, and intimidation,\u201d said <strong>FBI Special Agent in Charge in Charlotte John A.
