Thornton of the FBI\u2019s Minneapolis Division.\u00a0 \u201cAttacks such as these have no place in our society and those who would commit them should know that they will be aggressively pursued by the FBI.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u201cThere is no place for hate in our communities, and these targeted acts of violence won\u2019t be tolerated,\u201d said <strong>Special Agent in Charge Jim Modzelewski of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives \u00a0St. Paul, Minnesota, Field Division.\u00a0<\/strong> \u201cATF will continue to diligently investigate these crimes, to ensure that all of our residents feel safe and welcomed.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Gust is scheduled to be sentenced on Aug. 29. The hate-crime charge carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison, while the arson charge carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">This case was investigated by Grand Forks Police Department, the FBI and ATF. \u00a0The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Megan A.
