{"id":26834,"date":"2016-09-28T20:27:18","date_gmt":"2016-09-29T03:27:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/?p=26834"},"modified":"2016-09-28T20:27:18","modified_gmt":"2016-09-29T03:27:18","slug":"british-man-sentenced-to-13-years-for-traveling-to-u-s-to-have-sex-with-pre-teen-boys","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/?p=26834","title":{"rendered":"British Guilty of Traveling to U.S. to Have Sex with Pre-Teen Boys"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>LOS ANGELES<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">A 70-year-old British man who traveled to the Coachella Valley, California to have sex with pre-teen boys pleaded guiltyWednesday to transportation of child pornography and agreed to a 13-year prison sentence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-6759 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Department-of-Justice-300x197.jpg\" alt=\"Department of Justice\" width=\"300\" height=\"197\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Department-of-Justice-300x197.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Department-of-Justice-90x60.jpg 90w, https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Department-of-Justice.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><strong>Paul Charles Wilkins<\/strong>, 70, of Littleport in East Cambridgeshire, England, a dual United States-United Kingdom citizen, was charged earlier this year in a four-count indictment for traveling with the intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct, attempted sex trafficking of children, transportation of child pornography, and possession of child pornography.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u201cThis defendant\u2019s conduct was extremely dangerous,\u201d said U.S. Attorney Eileen M. Decker. \u201cHe sought to have sex with another boy immediately after his original arrangements to have sex with the two pre-teen boys fell apart. It is critical, therefore, that today\u2019s guilty plea will keep defendant in prison for well-over a decade.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">During the guilty plea hearing, Wilkins admitted that he traveled to the United States from the United Kingdom in January 2016 for the purpose of having sex with two brothers, 10 and 12 years old.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Wilkins will be sentenced in January, officials said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> Wilkins also admitted that in February 2016 he attempted to solicit a 9-year-old boy for anal intercourse in exchange for $250 at an apartment he had rented, according to officials.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">In addition, Wilkins admitted he possessed child pornography on his computer and brought child pornography from the United Kingdom into the United States, including graphic sexual images of boys between the ages of 5 and 8 years old.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Under the plea agreement filed in advance of Wilkins\u2019s guilty plea hearing, Wilkins agreed to a sentence of 13 years\u2019 in prison and a lifetime of supervised release, officials said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u201cThis defendant learned firsthand the fate that awaits predators who come to this country to sexually exploit our children,\u201d said Joseph Macias, special agent in charge for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement\u2019s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) in Los Angeles. \u201cHSI special agents continue to work tirelessly to identify individuals who\u2019re engaged in this reprehensible practice and ensure they\u2019re held accountable for their actions. Above all, our collaborative efforts have prevented countless children from falling prey to these traveling pedophiles, who wrongly believe that purchasing an airline ticket and boarding a plane puts
