(KSAZ)<\/strong> &#8211; State lawmakers are considering a <span class=\"vm-hook-outer vm-hook-default\"><span class=\"vm-hook\">bill<\/span><\/span> that would crack down on those involved in riots.<\/p>\n<p>Under <a href=\"http:\/\/www.azleg.gov\/viewDocument\/?docName=http:\/\/www.azleg.gov\/legtext\/53leg\/1R\/bills\/sb1142p.htm\">a bill<\/a>\u00a0that cleared a <span class=\"vm-hook-outer vm-hook-default\"><span class=\"vm-hook\">Senate<\/span><\/span> committee on Thursday, people who take part in a riot, or those nearby, could face Racketeering charges, and could also have their assets seized.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Republican supporters of the bill said it could help deter violence, and target groups that reportedly <span class=\"vm-hook-outer vm-hook-default\"><span class=\"vm-hook\">pay<\/span><\/span> people to protest.<\/p>\n<p>However, Democrats called the bill unnecessary.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; POSTED:FEB 02 2017 06:53PM MST UPDATED:FEB 02 2017 06:53PM MST PHOENIX, Ariz.
